PhotonSafe Safety Barrier plates
The barrier plates from Lasermach have an average thickness of approx. 4mm +- 0,3mm, consist of aluminium cover layers with a frustum formed interlayer and are all certified according to EN 60825-4 in the NIR range, which is important for the industry. Depending on the design, this results in lightweight panel materials with heavy laser protection (Iavg = 112.600- KW/m²) for high power requirements up to 158 MW/m² (Iavg).

PROTECTION PRINCIPLE
1. When the laser energy incident on the safety panel surface is too low to cause damage, the uniformly scattered surface effectively reduces stray light.
2. When the first layer is damaged, the patented three-layer hollow structure acts as a heat sink, rapid-ly conducting energy laterally to extend the time before the safety panel is penetrated.
3. When the first layer is penetrated, the staggered protrusions in the middle layer enlarge the beam spot, reducing laser energy density and delaying penetration of the middle and third layers. Meanwhile, the patented three-layer hollow structure continues to function as a heat sink, rapidly conducting energy laterally to further extend the time before the middle and third layers are penetrated.
At the same time, the large amount of smoke generated accumulates within the middle cavity, contaminating the laser beam, weakening its energy, and further delaying penetration of the middle and third layers.
Additionally, the visible smoke facilitates safety monitoring and early warning.

PHOTONSAFE® PROTECT – MOBILE PROTECTIVE SCREENS FOR CLASS 4 LASER APPLICATIONS
SAFETY. MOBILITY. CONTROL.
PhotonSafe® PROTECT is a professional system of mobile protective screens designed specifically for working with Class 4 lasers. With quick assembly and flexible configuration, creating a safe work zone has never been easier.
HIGH STANDARD OF OPTICAL PROTECTION
The screens are made of protective materials compliant with DIN EN 12254:2012-4 and EN 60825-4:2006 standards. The product provides effective protection against laser radiation in the 1050–1400 nm wavelength range, according to the following protection classes: D AB7 + I AB8 + R AB6 + M AB8Y GDLS>1050–1400 nm, 280 mW/m² (>1050-1400, 100 sec). This makes PhotonSafe® PROTECT safe to use even in the presence of the most demanding laser sources.
MOBILITY AND CONFIGURATION FLEXIBILITY
The PhotonSafe® PROTECT system is designed with maximum mobility in mind. Each screen is equipped with durable, lockable swivel casters, allowing for quick relocation and arrangement in any configuration. This enables the creation of temporary or semi-permanent protective areas within production halls or workshops..
INTEGRATED VIEWING WINDOW
PhotonSafe® PROTECT screens are also available with an integrated protective viewing window that meets relevant safety standards. The special filter pane allows safe observation of processes inside the work zone without the risk of laser radiation exposure. This is a practical solution for workstations where continuous visual monitoring of devices is required.
SYSTEM DOOR – COMFORTABLE ACCESS
The door available in the PhotonSafe® PROTECT system enables convenient entry and exit from the designated work area without dismantling or compromising the structure of the protective screens. This practical solution ensures smooth access while maintaining the integrity of the entire shielding system.
APPLICATIONS
PhotonSafe® PROTECT is suitable for all areas where effective protection from laser radiation is essential:
- laser welding and cutting workstations,
- research laboratories,
- precision industry production lines,
- designated safety zones in industrial facilities.

Mobile Laser Safety Barriers - The Right Laser Protection Material for Every Application
Mobile laser proof screens made of aluminum
Mobile laser safety barriers offer a flexible, stable, and effective solution for shielding laser radiation in workspaces.
Laser safety barriers are an ideal solution for safeguarding laser workstations quickly, flexibly, and reliably. They provide effective shielding from laser radiation and can be easily integrated into existing work environments.
We provide mobile laser safety barriers in various sizes and styles. All models offer protection against common laser wavelengths and power classes—from low to very high power. To ensure maximum safety, specially developed materials with defined absorption and reflection properties are used, depending on the application.
Particularly practical: all mobile laser safety barriers can be equipped with castors, allowing them to be positioned easily in different locations. Once the castors are locked, they ensure a stable and secure stand-combining flexibility with stability.

Laser Blocking Screens
Safety Screens
To protect personnel from Welding lasers it is imperative to have comprehensive laser safety protection in place. Laser radiation must be prevented from escaping from manufacturing zones using certified equipment.
Using Class 4 Lasers under service conditions may require free-standing screens to allow other work to continue safely in the same room during service. Also, where a production line uses a Class 4 laser for cutting and welding, it is impractical for the whole facility to observe Class 4 safety regulations. However, using complete enclosures respecting BS EN IEC 60825-4 norm can transform the laser facility into a Class 1 system.
Lasermach provide a range of free-standing laser-blocking screens which are designed for use as passive guards to enclose areas where Class 4 lasers are in use either to protect against accidental exposure to the laser beam or for long term blocking of laser radiation at lower power densities. All Lasermach laser-blocking screens are CE marked and certified to BS EN IEC 60825-4 Safety of Laser Products Part 4: Laser Guards. All of the screens are portable and can be used as simple temporary installations or can be used on a semi-permanent or permanent basis as required.
